INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ISO/IEC 17025 AS A MARKER OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE OF THE TESTING LABORATORY

Introduction. Ukraine uses the standard ISO/IEC 17025:2019 to regulate the activities of testing and calibration laboratories. This international standard establishes requirements for the quality system and accreditation of these laboratories.

The goal of the work was the analysis of regulatory and legislative documentation regarding the implementation of the ISO/IEC 17025:2019 standard for evaluating the activity of the laboratory "Research Training Center for Animal Disease Diagnostics" Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.

Materials and methods. Research on the implementation of the ISO/IEC 17025:2019 standard was carried out in the laboratory “Research Training Center for Animal Disease Diagnostics” Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.

Research methods: empirical method, comparative analysis, decomposition and synthesis, systematization.

Results of research and discussion. The scope of accreditation of the laboratory “Research Training Center for Animal Disease Diagnostics” includes 9 types of tests conducted by ELISA and PCR methods.

The standard ISO/IEC 17025:2019 helps laboratories demonstrate their competence and increase confidence in the quality of their work both at the national and international level. This helps improve cooperation between laboratories and other bodies, and also ensures greater recognition of conformity assessment results between countries.

Conclusions and prospects for further research. The laboratory "Research Training Center for Animal Disease Diagnostics" meets the requirements of the standard ISO/IEC 17025:2019 and offers a variety of services for veterinary diagnostics of infectious animal diseases, using modern high-tech equipment and molecular genetic and serological methods.

During the surveillance audit in 2022, the laboratory "Research Training Center for Animal Disease Diagnostics" confirmed its competence and received a positive assessment from the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine (NAAU). This testifies to the laboratory's compliance with the established requirements of the standard in the declared field of accreditation. The laboratory also works on expanding services and improving processes, which ensures its high professional level.
