ANALYSIS OF THE WORK EFFICIENCY OF THE LABORATORY «RESEARCH TRAINING CENTER FOR ANIMAL DISEASE DIAGNOSTICS» OF THE INSTITUTE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE NAAS IN 2021-2023
Introduction. Ensuring the biological safety of humans and animals, preserving the natural environment of Ukraine remain one of the priority tasks of the state, since fairly high rates of infectious disease in animals continued to be registered in the second millennium.
The goal of the work was analysis of directions of work of the laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics” for 2021-2023.
Materials and methods. The research was carried out on the basis of the laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics”. The analysis of the results of monitoring of infectious diseases of cattle and pigs in the farms of Ukraine was carried out for the period 2021-2023. The work uses statistical data from the reporting of the laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics”.Research methods: analytical, statistical.
Results of research and discussion. The efficiency of the laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics” was analyzed and it was determined that the laboratory has three main areas of activity: research; educational and training; diagnostic.
The research direction involves participation in the implementation of scientific topics of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. The educational and training direction of the laboratory includes training and professional development. The diagnostic direction of the laboratory includes laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases of animals by PCR and ELISA methods.
The quality system of the laboratory fully meets the requirements of the standard and offers a wide range of services for conducting veterinary diagnostics of infectious diseases of animals on modern high-tech equipment using molecular genetic and serological methods.
Conclusions and prospects for further research. The laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics” has three main areas of activity: research; educational and training; diagnostic.
Analysis of the efficiency of the laboratory “Research training center for animal disease diagnostics”" showed that the demand for diagnostic services of the laboratory has increased by 78.2% over the past three years.
Keywords: laboratory, testing, enzyme immunoassay, polymerase chain reaction.
