Given the growing popularity of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies based on its use, as well as the expected increase in their application by authors of scientific publications, the journal's editorial board has developed a corresponding policy regarding the use of AI.
AI cannot be listed as an author of a manuscript. Texts generated using AI may be fragmentary or incorrect; therefore, the author responsible for the entire submitted article is obliged to carefully review the text generated by AI and correct it if necessary.
If artificial intelligence and AI‑assisted technologies are used in the work, the author is required to make an appropriate statement in the work, providing information about the name of the tool/service and the reasons for its use.
The editorial board reserves the right to check manuscripts for the use of generative AI systems. To do this, it may employ automated detection tools, reviewer expert assessment, and additional requests to authors.
Editors do not use artificial intelligence or AI‑assisted technologies to make decisions that require critical thinking or the formation of any other substantive opinion. Reviewers do not use artificial intelligence to make decisions that require critical thinking or to form any other substantive opinion about the manuscript.
The editorial board will monitor the development of AI technologies and amend or improve these rules as necessary.
